I have a Canon Power Shot SD 600 that I like a lot. Easy to use, good picture quality. The best thing is that is has a viewfinder. Without one, it is almost impossible to see the image when shooting outside.

You could also try the Sony DSC T100. 8.1mp and a Carl Zeiss lens - can't go too wrong with that. (can't seem to attache product here - but will try the link: http://www.crowdstorm.co.uk/sony_dsct100/p/B000NWOHTK

Thanks for this. Had a look around as a result of your feedback and the Canon Powershot G9 seems to fit the bill. Cheers for help.

Expert Reviews

  • Canon EOS 1000D / Digital Rebel XS review The 1000D is a pretty convincing response to offerings from Nikon and Sony doing everything it needs to and doing it well. It can produce great images at any of its ISO settings and, viewed as a whole, makes a great first DSLR. It doesn't stand out from the competition as much as it did in previous years - but it still does! originally on: DP R. | Read full review

  • Casio Exilim EX-Z77 Unboxing (Remix!) This is a video response to my original unboxing video of my Casio Exilim EX-Z77. But the only difference in this one is that I sped up the audio of my voice so I could sound like Fred. Enjoy! :) Please note: this is NOT my real voice. originally on: Sam C. | link to Video
