I have a Canon Power Shot SD 600 that I like a lot. Easy to use, good picture quality. The best thing is that is has a viewfinder. Without one, it is almost impossible to see the image when shooting outside.

You could also try the Sony DSC T100. 8.1mp and a Carl Zeiss lens - can't go too wrong with that. (can't seem to attache product here - but will try the link: http://www.crowdstorm.co.uk/sony_dsct100/p/B000NWOHTK

Thanks for this. Had a look around as a result of your feedback and the Canon Powershot G9 seems to fit the bill. Cheers for help.

  • Ricoh R8 The Ricoh R8 may lack traditional manual controls, but it's still endlessly customisable even with a dead simple button and menu layout. The large screen, wide angle lens and long zoom make it worthwhile twiddling the menus to overcome some image issues. originally on: CNet R. | Read full review
