Arrived 21st Sept. Using existing 70-300 EF IS canon lens have managed to get some very crisp sharp images. Auto focus is very quick and colour renditioning is very good.
The Black & White function has proved not so gimicky as I thought it would be. I have really enjoy seeing the images as both colour & B&W. The built in filters are also very useful.
The Joystick control a welcome addition and the 8 Megapixels are generataing some really fine prints.
All that said I am experiancing REGULAR lock ups on all lenses I have tried (including those of friends which are all canon ef lenses) - my lenses do not lock up on other 10Ds or D60s. So far I have not found any specific set of circumstances that would be the cause. Battery changed, Auto-power off disabled, CF changed to 40x kingston, have not made any difference. When it does lock up "err99" message is displayed in LCD. Turn off-on cures it but often locks up again at next shot.
Still now I have got it do not want to send it back! Will keep trying, but learn from my problems : test it with your lenses before you buy!!
