Digital SLR mid-market

I use a Canon EOS 400D at the mo. Am about to travel around the UK taking tens of thousands of photos for a new website picturetheuk.com Want to ensure the kit I have produces the best results as the photo/film footage is an important company asset. Can anyone recommend a mid-level digital SLR and a wide angle lens come to think of it.

To be honest with you, if you already have Canon Kit, then I would strongly recommend the 40D as an upgrade in terms of performance and usability. As for a good utility Wide-Angle Zoom, look at the 16-35 mm f2.8 USM. Hope that helps :-)

Oli, cheers for response. Have been considering the 40D so great to have a recommendation backing that up. Will look at the wide angle lens. Appreciate your help.

Expert Reviews

  • Canon EOS 1000D / Digital Rebel XS review The 1000D is a pretty convincing response to offerings from Nikon and Sony doing everything it needs to and doing it well. It can produce great images at any of its ISO settings and, viewed as a whole, makes a great first DSLR. It doesn't stand out from the competition as much as it did in previous years - but it still does! originally on: DP R. | Read full review
