For once, lets make something happen.
Like many i have been looking forward to buying this game. Seeing the price now just makes me sick. Sure, i could buy it, but you know what? I'm not one of the mugs that EA were hoping for. Regardless of the reasons for the high price, you as a buyer can send a message to EA by not buying this game until they change the price.
It is inevitable that people will still buy this game, no question about it. But when the initial sales start to dry up EA will start to think. Lets make something happen.
