Is Halo 3 really living up to the hype?

I just think people are expecting too much from it perhaps?

Well, I did see a queue of at least 10 people outside the Game store in Wimbledon last night!!!! It's pretty much getting 9.5 - 9.7 in the expert reviews.

Yes I've had a few games of it round a mate's house - very impressive! Don't ususally play console first person shooters, the controls are generally too slow - however this suprised me and I can tell if I owned a 360 I would be hooked! Microsoft/Bungie have really gone to town with the extras on this game... such as the web interface to your own profiles etc. Multiplayer excellent.

I've rented it at the moment and I'm hooked too. It's not radically new but everything has been refined to a point of perfection, inc. the multiplayer aspect as Nick says. Basically - definitely worth buying.

  • Halo 3 Review: Fight finished in record time. Halo 3 will be in your 360 in a matter of days. There's no point even cracking one of those overused "unless you've been hiding in a..." lines because even if you have, you'll still know about the imminent arrival of Bungie's monolithic megaton shooter. Q & As

  • Is Halo3 too shortRight a new one. Is the Halo 3 campaign too short? I managed to finish it in 5 hours, not boasting but when you're spending £40 on a game you do expect it to last a bit longer from: Rupert W. | 22 answers
