Being Bad Is So Good
on 01/18/08Advantages: Highly addictive game play Disadvantages: Occasionally my memory is tested a little too much for my liking ...£45. I had read about Overlord late last year with several reviews stating its similarity to a popular standard Xbox game Fable, a game I enjoyed quite passionately. Not of course that I...

OverLord (Xbox 360)
by XP105 on 08/05/08Overlord is a unique, yet simple, pick up and play game. This game is meant for entertainment purposes, and humour, more than for hard-core gamers, and challenging levels. OverLord (Xbox 360)
by Phil W. on 09/18/07I bought this as the premise is slightly unusual in that you control an army of small minions with each of the four factions having some special skills. Your job is to control them and send them on tasks to achieve set goals and quests. Quests earn you gold and defeating monsters earns you points to summon more minions. For example, you come across a big lumerbing troll in the woods which is really hard to kill and keeps jumping on my troops - killing them all. The trick is to use your green minions to activate their assassin mode and jump on his back and stab him till him falls over. Simple! There are loads of quests to do and the game world is pretty huge. On the downside, I must admit to sometimes being a bit lost as to what to do next and having to try and find a new quest from somewhere. Also, there are a few control niggles. Right now - I just need some motivation to finish the last bit!
