Pentax Optio Z10
We have a Pentax Optio Z10. In bright (or even semi-bright) sunlight, we cannot see the picture we are taking, as it has no viewfinder and the sunlight obscures the would-be picture. Is there a hood or a visor that we could get to minimize the bright light? I have seen them for Canon, but I don't know whether they would work with the Pentax. Thanks--Jan

Good question Jan - I've got the same camera with Pentax and a sun visor actually seems a good idea. I found the Canon - Sun-visor EW-73B too and not sure if it would work. A good idea would be to buy it via someone like Amazon, try it, then return it within 7 days if it doesn't fit. Also - I've emailed Pentax customer support to ask the question and will let you know asap when they get back to me.

Jan - I got this answer back from Pentax: "Pentax does not have any Sun Visors for the Optio cameras. As we do not have any product information about Cannon it's not possible for me to give any answer to your second question. I would advise to contact the Cannon support desk for more information. I hope that your question has been answered to your satisfaction. So - you could try the Canon one and send it back if it doesn't work, as I think that's your only choice :-(

Too bad! I guess I'll go over to a camera store here and look at the visor they have or else call the Canon help desk. I really like the camera other than this problem. Thanks for your help! Jan
