Sony disappointment

Not long ago I purchased a DSC-W50 and used it to photograph a number of family events. At 6" x 4" the prints were good and relatives wanted enlargements but at anything over 8" x 6" the image was getting increasingly fuzzy. It is heartbreaking that something so well made is so limited. It is disappointing that such expense is not matched by performance. I have gone back to film.

  • Going from 300D to 40D, good idea? How is it for astronomy photography?I've been in the market for a new camera body since my 300D's processor fried itself. How does the 40D stack up for the price? Also, I really want to get into astrophotography as well (though I know nothing about astronomy -- so that's also new to me). Is the 40D any good for that?
