The Trend APF20 AIR/PRO powered Respirator has an assigned Protection Factor APF20. The APF rating of 20 makes the AFP20 AIR/PRO suitable for use for all wood working applications, including machining MDF and similar hazardous timber based materials. Powered respirators, also known as positive air respirators, offer many advantages. A small battery powered fan draws air in and through the filters, giving a constant stream of clean, fresh air down over the wearer's face. The face shield offers impact protection, all round vision and is kept clear and mist free at all times. The helmet, which houses the motor and filters, comes with head protection. As a positive air respirator with a combination face seal and hood, it offers greatly improved protection, for all, with no loss of protection for those with beards and moustaches. The APF20 AIR/PRO really does have it all, lungs, eyes, face, and head protection. Not only is it relatively lightweight, the overall design, with the motor positioned to the rear makes for a very well balanced and comfortable unit. The twin filters are 98% efficient and cover dust from hard and softwoods, ply, MDF and other timber-based materials. A fully charged battery will give up to 8 hours run time. Replaceable visor overlays are available to protect the visor from dust and scratches.
