The Makita HM1812 Electric Breaker operates 2 ways, the main handle is separated from the motor by 4 vibration absorbing springs or a counterweight moves in the opposite direction to the piston to reduce vibration while chiseling. The "Soft no Load" function automatically reduces the speed of the motor during idling to suppress the vibration of the machine body. Other features include a LED light to indicate when the carbon brushes need replacing, a soft start, ergonomic soft grip, its attachable to a dust extractor for health and safety reasons and the Anti-Vibration Technology which allows the tools housing to contain the vast majority of the vibration making it easy to hold and control.
