There's three speed settings to choose from letting you select an extraction rate that best suits what you're cooking up. If you're simply simmering veg then low will suffice but if you're frying up a breakfast then switch it up to high for the best results.The hood has two metal grease filters to trap any airborne grease particles and these can easily be removed and washed we would recommend cleaning these at least once a month to keep your hood in tip top condition it all depends what and how much you cook. There's two bright LED light panels towards the rear of the hood which illuminate your kitchen beautifully and they also come in extremely handy for checking recipes by the hob and for a quick check on your pots and pans as they bubble away.
